Dust Meridian

Dust Meridian

Week 13

By Kyle (design, code & music) · Released

Dust Meridian is a sniper game set on a frontier colony at high noon. You sweep a long ridge through a scope, read the wind off the survey flags, and hold high before every distant shot. Rogue drones, walkers, and ridge fauna move among white colonist haulers that you must never hit. When the air goes calm, the flags droop.

How to play

  • Move the mouse to sweep your scope across the ridge.
  • Right click to zoom in. On a phone, tap SCOPE.
  • Hold still for a beat until the ring turns mint.
  • Aim high for far targets. Aim into the wind pip for drift.
  • Lead moving targets, and never shoot anything white.

Desktop: Mouse aims and the scope follows. Left click fires. Right click zooms. Arrow keys fine aim, Z zooms, Space fires. · Mobile: Drag to sweep, or tap a spot to center it. Use the SCOPE and FIRE buttons.

Why we built this

We rebuilt the aiming feedback until the scope stopped lying. The mil ladder, the wind pip, the tracer, and the slow motion finale all had to agree with the simulation before the game felt fair. Playtesting caught every mismatch.
